How it works

  1. 01

    Take one photo

Front-facing, neutral expression, decent light. The camera guides you into position before it captures.

  2. 02

    Get your number

Landmarks are measured on your device and combined into a single face score out of 10, with the six areas that shaped it.

  3. 03

    See what moves it

Each metric comes with a specific, doable adjustment — so the rating turns into a plan instead of a verdict.

What “rate my face” usually gets you — and what this does instead

Most rate-my-face tools hand back one number and disappear. You learn that you are a 7 and nothing about why, which is the part that would have been useful.

Hotness shows the number and its parts: symmetry, proportion, jawline, eyes, skin and presentation. The same photo scores the same every time, because the geometry underneath is deterministic rather than a guess.

An honest rating, not a harsh one

There is no roast mode and no shaming copy. The tone stays measured on purpose — being told you rate a 6.40 is only worth reading if the next line explains which of the six areas is holding the number down.

Scores cluster in a realistic band. A 9 is rare and a 3 is close to impossible, because the scale is calibrated against real distributions rather than tuned to shock you.

Rate my selfie, looks rating, beauty score — same question

Selfies are where most people ask this, and they are also the hardest photos to judge fairly: arm's length distorts the nose and jaw, and overhead light flattens skin evenness. The scan measures the photo you give it, so a better shot genuinely reads better.

Whatever you call it — looks rating, beauty score, rate my selfie — the answer here is one number plus the six parts behind it, so you can see which part is doing the damage.

Questions people ask

Is there a free face score test?

Yes. Your first measured scan is free and needs no card. You get your score out of 10 and all six metric breakdowns before anything is asked of you.

How is a face score calculated?

Facial landmarks are detected on your device, then symmetry, vertical thirds, horizontal fifths, jaw angle, eye spacing and skin evenness are measured and weighted into one number between 1.00 and 10.00. The same photo always returns the same score.

Is my photo private?

Your photo stays on your device unless you choose to share a score card. Only anonymized measurements leave the phone, never the image itself.

Will it roast me?

No. Hotness is measured, not mean. Every result is written to be honest about where you stand and specific about what would move the number.

What's a good score out of 10?

Most real results land between 5.50 and 8.00, so a mid-6 is an ordinary, perfectly good face. Above 8.50 is genuinely rare, and a 0.30 gain is a visible change.

Is this the same as a hotness test or attractiveness test?

Yes — one scan, one score. Rate my face, rate my selfie, looks rating and attractiveness test all land on the same measured result.

What does it cost?

Your first measured scan and its full breakdown are free, with no card. If you want to keep going, Premium is $4.99 a week or $69.99 a year, with 45 scans a month and no charge per extra scan.
